eTAGZ Inc. vs Future plc: IP Case Ends in Settlement

eTAGZ Inc. has agreed to settlement terms from Future, PLC signifying a triumphant end to an
intellectual property case brought against Future, plc for infringing upon eTAGZ patents and the
attachment of CDs and DVDs to their magazines.  Financial terms of the  settlement were held
confidential however Future, plc will further enjoy licensing rights from eTAGZ to continue attachment
of discs to their family of magazines.

“The greatest win in the whole settlement was that Future acknowledged the validity of the eTAGZ
patent, a precedent which should benefit eTAGZ and its investors in subsequent cases currently filed and
soon to be filed,” said eTAGZ’s General Counsel, Sean Reyes after papers were signed last month.
This is the latest win following eTAGZ’s revved-up efforts to pursue infringers.  eTAGZ CEO, Isaac
Jacobson, commented on their change in strategy, “We must promote and protect our intellectual property
and unfortunately, in some instances, this requires litigation.  eTAGZ is a pioneer in CD attachment to
merchandise and to see blatant infringement of our patents without recourse is a disservice to our
company and our investors.  I’m extremely pleased with our agreement and outcome with Future, plc”
PARDM, a Salt Lake City law firm headed by Joe Pia, conducted the negotiations and strategy that lead
up to the final settlement.  This being eTAGZ’s fourth compliance and settlement; each victory
strengthens eTAGZ’s case as they move ahead with new and continuing lawsuits.
